I used to think the most challenging part of starting a company was to come up with a great idea. And that if the idea was implemented and the product was good, the company could be very successful. I really believed this was the way to go, until I took a course on Technology Ventures.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The points I take away from this course are :&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. Look for some problem with the way you do the tasks or some problem that bothers you most. Chances are many people out there might have the same problems. What can be a better start-up idea than this?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2. Think of a way to commercialize this invention. No venture capitalist would want to invest in a company that has no plan for generating revenue.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;3. It is easier to create a product for a new or emerging market as compared to a market with strong and established players.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This evening I was stumbled upon some cool articles by Paul Graham  &lt;a href="http://www.paulgraham.com/start.html"&gt; here &lt;/a&gt;.  I  like the quote -&lt;br /&gt;"&lt;span style=";font-family:verdana;font-size:85%;"  &gt; &lt;i&gt;Look at something people are trying to do, and figure out how to do it in a way that doesn't suck."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/span&gt;I will look for problems and post them here.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Just for starters ...
